The RNZYS is very pleased to announce that 36 Degrees Brokers have signed on as the official naming rights sponsors of the RNZYS Commodores Cup Series and Squadron Weekend for the next three years.
The Commodores Cup is the Squadrons longest running and most prestigious racing series on the summer sailing calendar. The series includes a range of longer distance races, including the famous Night Race to Kawau Island, the Round Kawau and Round Rangitoto races, the Race to Te Kouma on the Coromandel, and the final race of the series – the Haystack Race.
The night race to Kawau and Round Kawau Island race form the very well-known Squadron Weekend which culminates with a massive party on the lawn at Lidgard House in Smelting House Bay on the Saturday evening. The party is attended by well over 500 Members who enjoy drinks, LIVE music and a great meal offering that includes a delicious spread with food cooked on the spit.
36 Degrees are a marine brokerage based nice and close to the Squadron in Westhaven Drive, but they also have another base at Opua in the Bay of Islands. They are the official Beneteau dealer in New Zealand and also pride themselves as being well known in the NZ market as multihull specialists. They also sell an extensive range of pre-owned vessels, including launches and yachts, and were established in 2014.
