7:30am to 5:30pm  - Fuel

7:30am to 7:30pm - Shop

9am to late - Bistro

12noon to late - Bar

Winter Closed Monday & Tuesday, Wednesday - Thursday 9am-12.30 & 4.30pm - 7pm. Friday & Saturday 9am - close.  Sunday 9am - 12.30pm.

Bar Hours Opening hours correspond with the shop.  Closing times depends on demand with latest time being 11.30pm.

Clubhouse Shop The shop carries a good range of provisions.  Breakfasts, lunches, snacks, expresso coffee and dinners are available (eat-in or takeaway). 

Showers & Laundry Facilities The showers, laundry and fresh water are available to members of the KIYC and the RNZYS.  Please present your membership card prior to use of these facilities.

Membership Membership of the Yacht Club is $60 per annum.

Mooring Protocol Moorings are available for KIYC and RNZYS members, please check out the mooring protocol here.

Water & Fuel are also available during shop hours.

Special Notice: Fireworks not wanted

We would like the opportunity to alert the public of the danger of fireworks on Kawau Island. Fire is the greatest threat, fear and danger on Kawau Island. Due to the extreme fire risk on Kawau Island and because we want to protect our homes and native wildlife, we ask you NOT to bring fireworks to Kawau.

Lidgard House, Kawau Island

This historic beach house in Smelting House Bay, Kawau Island is owned by the Squadron and is available to members for rent.   Lidgard house can sleep up to nine people.  It is furnished, has a fully-equipped kitchen, TV, stereo and washing machine.  Cutlery, crockery and linen are provided, although it is recommended visitors take extra towels.  Two gas barbecues are on the deck which looks out to School House Bay and for those who don't want to cook, the Kawau Island Yacht Club is just a small walk around the boaties path.  You don't even need to own your own boat to get there, an easy one hour drive north of Auckland is Sandspit Wharf where you can catch a ferry direct to the wharf at Lidgard House. 

House for rent...

The house tariff is $225 per night for members.  (Minimum 2 nights). However rates are subject to change so please check first.  The house and garden can also be hired for corporate functions and weddings.
