This is a closed event, open to RNZYS members only, although in 2014-15 Ponsonby Cruising Club, Richmond Yacht Club and Royal Akarana Yacht Club will also be hosting races to these destinations with the idea of having a great interclub challenge!

The Commodores Cup Series starts with Opening Day usually the 1st weekend in October. This is a day for all the family to come and enjoy the clubhouse, not just the sailors. The day kicks off with Brunch at 0930 followed by the traditional firing of the cannon at 1100hrs by the Commodore making sure the season starts off with a bang! This season we hope you will join in the spirit of the day by dressing your boat for the Parade which will be held in front of the clubrooms, before the race start at 1200hrs. Including Opening day there are 6 races in the series. Round Rangitoto will be held on the 1st November. Early February 2015 is Squadron Weekend with the ever popular Night Race to Kawau Island, the Kawau Island Race followed by the shore party and BBQ at Lidgard House on Saturday night. 28th February is Te Kouma and early April is Haystack, the closing race of the RNZYS Summer season.
