Mariner Insurance Cruising Series
Open to Members of the RNZYS Only.
"Each boat must carry a dinghy (towed or on deck)" - you need them to get ashore for the social hour.....or longer! All Rallies start at 11am
The Cruising Rally's are made up of a fleet of yachts with the prerequisite of having families join the sailors and it being about the stories on the beach, guitars playing and memories being made, just like it was in the good old days! Catamarans and power boats are most welcome and encouraged to join in, we are always happy to have you involved and you may even like to help with the starts and finishes. For the Cats if there are more than six you may even have your own division! Destinations such as Woody Bay, Rakino Island; Oneroa, Rocky Bay, Man ‘o’ War Bay, Waiheke Island and for the first time in a long time Mahurangi to join with the Mahurangi Regatta Festivities, Anniversary Weekend. The Rally's will be started using the Mark Foy system for those with crew who are not so keen on a mass start! A Mark Foy Start means you will be alocated a start time and a start number. The start number will be raised one minute before you start. When the Start number is removed that is when you cross the Start line.
