5 - 11 DECEMBER 2010 - get your clubs name on our mailing list!

This programme was introduced in 1989 to enable young sailors from yacht clubs around New Zealand to share in the intensive sailing experience which is the RNZYS Lion Foundation Youth Training Programme.  Each year New Zealand Yacht Clubs from as far north as KeriKeri and as far south as Bluff are invited to send a four person youth crew to attend the National Training Week.

TRANSPORT Each yacht club team meets at the RNZYS Clubrooms, and will travel by Bus to Sandspit then by Ferry to Kawau Island (all included in the price), on return the trainees will sail the boats back to Westhaven Marina.

COACHING Coaching during both weeks is under the guidence of Guy Pilkington, Coach of the RNZYS LION FOUNDATION Youth Training Programme, who is assisted by other coaching staff and graduates of the RNZYS Lion Foundation Youth Training Programme.
