2020-21 RNZYS Club Racing Series ENTRY OPEN
The RNZYS is pleased to announce all of our Club Racing Series for the upcoming 2020-21 Summer Sailing Season are now open for entry!
We encourage all skippers and boat owners to get your entries in now so you’re ready to go for what is going to be a busy and exciting 150th sailing season.

Club Marine Insurance Wednesday Series
The Club Marine Insurance Wednesday Series gets underway with race one on Wednesday the 14th October. There are 10 race days which are held on alternate Wednesday evenings throughout the season, right through to the final race on Wednesday 17th March 2020.
The series is the biggest sailing series on our calendar, with nine divisions and upwards of 120 yachts on the Harbour in every race.

36 Degrees Brokers Commodores Cup Series
The 36 Degrees Brokers Commodores Cup Series is always incredibly popular and you won’t want to miss it! Made up of five unique races, the series begins with the Round Rangitoto Race on Saturday 14th November.
The next two races are always a must for all Squadron boat owners as they are part of the famous Squadron Weekend celebrations at Kawau Island. These are the Night Race to Kawau on Friday 5th February and the Round Kawau Race on Saturday 6th February, followed by a large party on the lawn at Lidgard House.
The series then moves onto the Te Kouma Race on Saturday 27th February and finishes with the Haystack Race on Saturday 10th April.

Club Marine Insurance Cruising Series
Looking for a more relaxed approach to racing and/or keen to get away on the weekends with other members during the summer? The Club Marine Insurance Cruising Series is for you!
The series consists of six passage races which will take you to various Island destinations around the Hauraki Gulf. Every race is then followed by a Prizegiving with BBQ and Drinks on the beach.
This series is great for bringing your family and friends along, with the emphasis more on fun than serious racing.

Barfoot & Thompson Ladies Summer Series
The Barfoot & Thompson Ladies Summer Series has been successful every year, with twelve all female teams taking part last season. We’re looking to improve on that when the series kicks off on Tuesday 6th October 2020.
The series consists of ten race nights. The first race is a Harbour course, but the remaining nine nights are made up of up to 3-4 Windward/Leeward races per night joining the Etchells fleet on the water right outside the RNZYS. Enter and race in an MRX or feel free to enter your S34, Y88 or Farr 1020.

Stewart 34 Championship Series
The Stewart 34 Championship Series kicks off on Monday 2nd November 2020 and consists of 7 race nights. This competitive one design racing is held most alternate Monday evenings with up to four windward/leeward races. Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker divisions to race in.

North Sails Young 88 Sprint Series
Another popular one design series is the North Sails Young 88 Sprint Series. Strong competitive fleet racing Windward/Leewards every alternate Thursday starting 8th October with 3-4 races a night.

Coast NZ Etchells Sprint Series
Competitive weekly racing in the one design Etchells fleet. The Coast NZ Etchells Series starts on the 13th October and runs weekly through summer. There is an occasional Monday night thrown in there for good measure on the other side of Xmas to tick off the Auckland Champs and more.

Elliott 7 Sprint Series
This competitive fleet races Windward/Leeward races every alternate Thursday starting 15th October with 3-4 races a night in the Squadron’s fleet of Elliott 7 keelboats. The Elliott 7 Sprint Series is ideal if you want to be involved in some high paced one design racing but don’t own your own boat. Only one spot remains for the coming series so get your entry in today!

Havana Club Rum Race Series
Havana Club Rum Races have an emphasis on social fun & participation. The year is broken into seasonal series, Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer, which means there is a race nearly every week of the year. Rum Races are held on Friday afternoons and are non-spinnaker Harbour races.

City of Sails Auckland Regatta
Entry is now open for the rebranded and revamped City of Sails Auckland Regatta 2021 which is part of our RNZYS 150 celebrations and is expected to be the best one yet! The regatta includes a range of awesome divisions, including some exciting new additions:
Racing Friday – Sunday: 40ft Racing Division & Pacific Keelboat Divisions (MRX & E7)
Racing Saturday – Sunday: Divisions A, B, C, Young 88, Piedys, Sport Boats, Multis.
If W/L racing isn’t your thing – don’t miss out / get involved in one of our NEW Passage Racing Divisions for Spinnakers & Non-Spinnakers.
We have some amazing prizes lined up, and are teaming up with supporting event sponsor Wynyard Pavilion for some wicked off-water events throughout the weekend.
