In Member Interest, News, Performance Programme

The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron are pleased to announce that Auckland based premium mixer brand East Imperial have signed on as an official supporter and boat sponsor of the RNZYS Performance Programme. Members will now be able to purchase the renowned East Imperial beverage range in the Members’ Bar as well as at various other Member functions and events.

East Imperial are a Parnell based company that make premium tonic and soda mixers and are now available in over 25 countries globally.

As is the case with RNZYS, at East Imperial tradition and quality are of particular importance. So all products are made using only the purest ingredients sustainably sourced from Asia and East Africa, home of the original tonic waters.

Inspired by a family recipe from 1903, East Imperial work with the best global distillers and bartenders to create a collection based on tradition with the obsession to be the ultimate compliment to premium spirits.

Alex Florian, Head of Sales for East Imperial, is excited about getting involved with the Squadron and supporting our top young sailors – “We’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to be able to support RNZYS and the youth sailing programme is perfect. The Nacra 20’s are a great class of boat and we are proud to see an Auckland brand like East Imperial help develop the next generation of world beating New Zealand sailors”

RNZYS General Manager Hayden Porter was happy to see East Imperial come on board with the Squadron “It’s great to see East Imperial come on board to support the Performance Programme. I think they are a great fit for this area and the programme will vastly benefit. We are also thrilled to be able to now stock East Imperial beverages in the Members Bar, I’m sure they are going to be very popular with our members.”

The RNZYS are now looking forward to working closely with East Imperial over the next three years, seeing the partnership excel, and jointly enjoying the successes of the RNZYS Performance Programme sailors.
