Further information

Spectators: If you aren’t competing in a series, you can still tune into watch via the spectator feature in the ‘Virtual Regatta Inshore’ Website or App.

Sailing School: One of the best features on Virtual Regatta is the ‘Sailing School’. You don’t have to register for a race to have a go at navigating your boat. This is brilliant for anyone learning to sail or thinking about doing a RNZYS Learn to Sail course once we’re out of lockdown. You can practice tacking and gybing from the sofa! You might like to check out the wind diagrams or practice selecting and hoisting a sail to see how it affects your speed.

Prizes/Competition: The competition is no doubt going to be fierce and we will be running a scoreboard so you can follow the action. Just like our regular regattas, there will be prizes for individual regattas, prizes for series winners and prizes for each day’s winners. The top two overall from each series will go into a Grand Final. We will be holding the Grand Final at the club once lockdown restrictions have been lifted.
