Squadron moves to Level One
The Government Level Two restrictions have been lifted and the country has now moved to Level One, which means a few exciting changes for RNZYS Members visiting the club and heading out on the water. A few key things:
- You are no longer required to sign in on arrival
- The eastern entrance will now be re-opened
- All dining and service restrictions have been lifted from the Members Bar and Quarterdeck Restaurant
- Normal bar service can resume – no requirement to remain seated
- All restrictions on functions and booking limits are lifted
- Sailing contact tracing /crew declarations are no longer required for skippers
Please note we will continue cleaning precautions, with focus on high touch areas, and cleaning and sanitizing stations will still be present in all bathrooms.
We encourage you all to come along to the club and use it as frequently as you can. We look forward to seeing you in the Members Bar & Quarterdeck, at sailing prizegiving’s, quiz nights, and other various club events we have coming up!
Annual Prizegiving Update
Annual Prizegiving will now be held across two nights as the 100 person limit is lifted:
Friday 19th June: Divisions B, E, Cruising, Sports Boats, Multihulls – 6pm
Saturday 20th June: Divisions A, C, F, S34, Y88, E7 Sprints, Ladies, YTP & PP – 6pm
Tickets are $50 per person, which includes a two-course dinner, with a complimentary drink on arrival. The evening will include a welcome from our Commodore Ian Cook, a guest speaker, trophy presentation, and music on the big screen.
