Member Update – We Are Ready For You!

Following Monday’s COVID-19 Government announcement, Auckland will continue to stay in Alert Level 3, Stage 1. Recreational boating is allowed within your household bubble from today, and we encourage you to get back out on the water.

All the below is subject to government, YNZ & Sport NZ updates and have based the below on moving to Stage 2 of Level 3 from Wednesday 13th October and Stage 3 of Level 3 from Wednesday 20th October.

Therefore the RNZYS will open our retail shop from the 13th October. Opening hours will be from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9.30am to 4.30pm. We will be able to open the RNZYS for hospitality from the 20th October.

We are working to re-schedule any events that cannot go ahead under the restrictions on the date advertised. Thank you for your continued support, and we hope to see you back on the water or at the RNZYS soon.

Doyle Sails Wednesday Series – Entry Promotion
Pending we move to Level 3 Stage 2, the Doyle Sails Wednesday Series kicks off with Race Day 1 on Wednesday 13th October at the RNZYS. We have plenty of reasons for you to get your entries in now (if you haven’t already) including a cheeseboard delivered to your boat on Race Day 1 if you are one of the first 50 series entries thanks to the team at PIC Insurance Brokers.

Virtual RNZYS – eSailing Club Championships
We will be hosting the RNZYS eSailing Club Championships onSunday 10th October at 7pm, which will only be open to RNZYS Members. The champion will win a pair of Panasonic Noise-Cancelling Headphones.

RNZYS Takeaway Meals
Pending we move to Level 3 Stage 2, we will not be able to open the bar or restaurant, so we will be operating a food delivery service to your boat after your race. If you are wanting to order food, order before 4pm the night BEFORE your race from HERE.

We will have Foot Long Pizzas from $15, Fish and Chips from $25 and a range of sides.

When you cross the finish line, text the order name and berth number to 021 450 924 to get your order delivered to you.

Summer Racing Beverage Packs
We are excited to announce the launch of our beverage packs that you can pick up before racing, pending we move into Level 3 Stage 2. We will be offering these for our 1st races in the Doyle Sails Wednesday Series, the Havana Club Rum Race, and the Barfoot and Thompson Ladies Series.

Order your packs HERE and pick up your order before your race from the RNZYS. Scan in, wear a mask, and keep 2 meters apart.

150th Anniversary Book Release
Pending we move to Level 3 Stage 2, the RNZYS Shop will be open from Wednesday 13th October. 

This means you will be able to pick up your 150th Anniversary Book. You can pre-order your copy HERE, or buy it in person once we are open. 

Contactless pickup can be arranged if we are unable to open. Keep an eye out for the title launch later this week.

The RNZYS store will be open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Pending we move to Level 3 Stage 3 the RNZYS will be open for events and functions from Wednesday 20th October.

Opening Day
Saturday 16th October
Pending we move to Level 3 Stage 2, sailing will go ahead as per Notice of Race, with the Cannon Firing at 12pm (limited to 25 people, first in first served). 

The Opening Day race will start at 1pm. There will be no off water activity due to limits on capacity, so there will be an online prizegiving.Scan the QR code, wear a mask, and keep 2 meters apart. Enter the Opening Day race HERE.
