CYCA TRANS-TASMAN YACHT RACE 2025

The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia has announced entries are now open for the inaugural edition of the Trans-Tasman Yacht Race. Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron are proud to be the Race Finishing Partner.
The Notice of Race and other relevant documentation can be found here, and Owners and Charterers of eligible boats are able to enter online via Top Yacht.
Please note completed entries, with the additional documentation specified in the Notice of Race, shall be received by 1700hrs (AEDT) on 8 November 2024. Late entries will be accepted after this date in accordance with the Notice of Race.
ABOUT THE RACE
This new Category 1 blue water race will incorporate a staggered start between 28 February 2025 and 2 March 2025 aiming to bring everyone together to celebrate at the end of the race. Competitors’ start times will be assigned based on their boat’s IRC or PHS ratings.
It will be run in collaboration with Race Finishing Partner, the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, and is intended to be run biennially, alternating with the CYCA’s Ponant Sydney Noumea Yacht Race.
With over 30 boats having submitted expressions of interest, the CYCA anticipates a strong and varied fleet for the 2025 race.
