RNZYS PARTNERS WITH BARFOOT & THOMPSON
The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron has signed a partnership deal with well-known real estate company Barfoot & Thompson for the next three years.
The agreement see’s Barfoot and Thompson become the preferred residential real estate partners of the RNZYS, as well as becoming Corporate Members and Sponsors of some exciting on-water sailing events.
As the preferred residential real estate partners of the RNZYS, Barfoot & Thompson will be looking after all residential America’s Cup inquiries received by the RNZYS – so if you are interested in renting out your house during the America’s Cup period, or are looking at renting a property during that time – please get in touch with Jane Dobbie j.dobbie@barfoot.co.nz
Barfoot & Thompson have hit the ground running in terms of sponsoring our on-water events. Firstly, they have signed on to be the naming rights sponsor for the Ladies Summer Series for the next three years. The Barfoot & Thompson Ladies Summer Series, held at the RNZYS on alternating Tuesday nights during the summer, is the only all-female club racing series in New Zealand and has quickly grown over the past few years to be extremely popular – with fourteen crews taking part in the recent 2018-19 season.
Barfoot & Thompson have also signed on to be a noted supporter of a major global youth match racing event – the 2020 HARKEN Youth World Match Racing Championships which are being hosted by the RNZYS in February 2020. This event will see the best youth match racing crews from all over the world come to the squadron to stake their claim at becoming world champions.
In another exciting on-water partnership, Barfoot & Thompson are also coming on board as an official supporter of the 2021 Superyacht Regatta which is being hosted by the RNZYS as part of their 150thcelebrations.
