RNZYS RE-OPENING 3 DECEMBER
After over 3 months of being closed, the RNZYS can’t wait to welcome you back THIS FRIDAY the 3rd of December!
However, we are now required to do things a little different around here to keep you safe. This week, the RNZYS has been deep-cleaned, the staff are all fully vaccinated and we have put in processes for safely entering our premises, member events, sailing events and prizegivings under the new Covid-19 Protection Framework. Please be patient and understanding with our staff, as this is new to us as well.
Please remember to please wear a mask, show your Vaccine Pass, sign in through our QR code and remain socially distanced. This applies to each Member, guest or visitor over the age of 12. Show your Vaccine Pass at reception and we will add it to your member profile, which will hopefully make things faster for you in the future. As an extra precaution, we will doing regular cleaning on the main surface touch points throughout the club. See below for more information, and we can’t wait to see you back on Friday!

Members Bar and Quarterdeck Restaurant
Entry through the Western Entrance.
A staff member will check your Vaccine Pass on arrival, and we encourage you to also check in via our QR code.

Please wait to be seated by a staff member.
You will be served, and payment will be taken, at your table.
Masks are encouraged, but not mandatory, while seated at your table.

*Please note outside of reception hours (Monday to Sunday, 9am – 5pm) your vaccine pass will be verified at the entry points to the Members Bar and Quarterdeck Restaurant.
Sailing
During racing, sailing series and regatta’s, it is up to the boat owner’s discretion on vaccination status for their crew.
If you are using the RNZYS fleet/vessels, you must be double vaccinated.
Please sign in via the QR codes, and ensure your contact tracing is done via TopYacht. See HERE for how to do this.

THE RNZYS ASKS THAT YOU STAY HOME IF…
You are feeling unwell
You have a high temperature (>38 degrees), cold and flu symptoms. Please stay at home and get tested.
You are waiting for Covid-19 test results
You are a close, casual+ or casual contact of COVID-19 case
Someone in your household or work bubble is isolating or waiting for Covid-19 test results
You live in a household with a MIQ or Border worker unless they are being tested at least every three days
You are a vulnerable person by way of a significant medical condition, eg. many lung diseases, or take medication that lowers your immunity
FAQs
Do I need to book a table if I’m visiting the RNZYS for food or drink? Yes. We do have smaller capacity than usual (100 per venue). Table bookings, whether for food or just a drink, are strongly encouraged during Red setting. This is to assist us with capacity restrictions and social distancing measures. If you are looking to come into the RNZYS at late notice, please call ahead so we can accommodate you. If there are no tables available when you arrive, we may ask you to be seated and wait for a table to become available in another area of the club.
Will the Front of House staff be wearing masks? Yes. To ensure the safety of Members and your guests, all staff will be wearing masks when interacting with Members.
I have a table booked but I’m not feeling well or I can no longer attend. Due to social distancing and capacity restrictions, we aren’t able to seat as many people as we normally would. If you are unable to use your table booking, please let the RNZYS know as soon as possible so we can open up space for other Members and guests to enjoy.
